Now Hiring: Experienced Residential Electrician

Location: Champaign, IL | Full-Time | In-Field Position

Are you a skilled electrician who’s ready to bring your expertise to a company that values quality, teamwork, and customer service? Mattex Heating, Cooling, Plumbing, Sewer, and Electrical is looking for a dedicated, experienced electrician to join our growing team of trade professionals.

As a family-owned and operated business, we’ve proudly served Central Illinois since 1994, and we’re known for doing the job right—with integrity, professionalism, and a strong commitment to our customers and community.

Position Details:

We’re seeking an experienced electrician with at least 4 years of field experience. A current license is preferred but not required for consideration.

You’ll work on a wide variety of residential and light commercial electrical projects including:

Service upgrades & panel replacements
Generator installations
Troubleshooting & repairs
Lighting & fixture installations
Whole-home surge protection

Requirements:

4+ years of verifiable residential electrical experience
Strong working knowledge of the NEC and local electrical codes
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Valid driver’s license
Electrical license preferred (or ability to obtain)

Competitive pay ($30.00 - $38.00 per hour) based on experience
