Mattex Announces 2022 Veterans Day Giveaway Winner

November 11, 2022 | Community Involvement, Company News Mattex is excited to announce that Mike Jenkins of White Heath has been chosen as our 7th Annual Veterans Day Giveaway Winner! Mike was a captain in the US Army for 10 years and was deployed several times to support the Global War on Terror. He has worked in Afghanistan, and Iraq, including the withdrawal from Iraq. Today, Mike is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Illinois where he specializes in Line of Duty related trauma, specifically for the military and first responder communities. He has served as a crisis clinician and crisis team leader, substance use/abuse counselor, and psychotherapist. When asked about what winning Mattex’s Veterans Day Giveaway would mean for Mike and his family, Mike’s friend responded, “He is doing so much for all the first responders here in central Illinois that this gesture you’re offering would be helpful for him. He helps so many people and it would be nice to now help him!” Mike is the founder and owner of Never Forgotten Services in Mahomet. Their mission is to “conquer the mental health stigma holding many back from finding a semblance of peace they can maintain”. Mike’s own military history and experience allow him to relate and better communicate with his clients and the mental battles they may be experiencing.
